History
The Dashen Institute of Agronomic Research was created in 2014, in the City Bandeirantes, Paraná State. It is composed by professors, agriculture professionals, Agronomy Graduate and Postgraduate scholars, who operate on the development of research and innovations, training and development of application techniques and products for use in the agrosilvopastoril sector. It generates and shares technical, scientific and commercial knowledge in the Agrochemicals Application Technology and Agricultural Mechanization in order to optimize the use of resources, reduction of losses and environmental contamination, maximizing the potential yield and profitability of agricultural activities. It offers services in technical staff training, specialized agricultural research, customer loyalty programs, product development and strategies for production opportunities optimization, sustainable profitability, integration and participation growth in the agricultural market.
Founders
Dashen Institute’s main masterminds were two Professors from UENP (Northern Paraná State University), Institute acknowledged by its Agronomy Course at FFALM (Faculty of Agronomy Luiz Meneghel Foundation). Professor Dr. Marco Antonio Gandolfo, specialist in the fields of Agrochemicals Application Technology and Agricultural Machinery and Professor Dr. Robinson Osipe, specialist in the Matology and Ecology fields, both determined to create an organization that offers quality services for the sector growth, they founded the Dashen Institute, meaning “fertile ground” in Hebrew. To strengthen the beginning of activities with the necessary technical support for a company that would act with the desired importance in the market, other partners were included in the corporation, Dr. Petrus Osipe, Dr. Ulysses Delvaz Gandolfo and Dr. Eder Dias de Moraes. These members formed the Institute’s first board in 2016.
Structure
The Institute has the required technical bodies for performing the agricultural activities, laboratorial, extension and training activities, and strategic planning and organization to meet the needs of their work, expectations of its customers, in a rational, punctual and reliable way. It also has an infrastructure with over 24,000 square meters with laboratory equipped for quick and accurate analysis in order to obtain results in time to meet their schedules. For seedling production it has a acclimatized greenhouse and an arboretum with a capacity of 25,000 vases with automatic irrigation system. Specific equipment as spraying and precipitation simulators, drift and evaporation simulators, contamination simulators, calibration and machine operation are also part of the structure used in the activities offered by the Institute. The agricultural research items executed by the Institute are: coverage and deposition analysis; rain fastness; residual contaminant in sprayers; physical stability analyzes; efficiency of hydraulic circuits; drift and evaporation and; control effectiveness of agrochemicals.
